DIARY: MANCHESTER

I spent the weekend in Manchester and I had so much fun. I felt a sense of belonging. The people were so chatty and I was proud that I didn't struggle to keep up a conversation. While walking down Market Street, we were accompanied by music, played by people with passion in their voice and in their hands that were banging on the drums. It made the city feel so much more alive. Everyone looked so cool, so uniqe and confident, everything I'm trying so hard to be. I didn't have to care about school work, I didn't even have anything planned. I was free. I was happy.
